Martisor Greetings

Happy Spring Everyone!  The snow has finally melted. Yet we enjoyed what little snow we had out in the suburbs of Bucharest. On our way to the school in Peris, Jen and I had a lovely coffee and an amazing cinnamon rolls with our dear friend and amazing colleague, Ramona. It was a most lovely visit. As we're embracing slightly warmer weather, we've been quite busy the past couple months. We recently just had a team with us from Michigan. Among the team, they have a combined total of 16 trips (years) serving and partnering with H2H. They brought amazing Martisor crafts for the kids to make to give to their friends, teachers, and one another.  A little about Martisor. Martisor is the celebration of Spring. In Romania, we celebrate it on March 1, a week before International Women's Day. Afternoon Winter Delight

It Was An Afternoon Wintery Delight... We've had an interesting winter in Bucharest. It snowed a couple days in the Peris and Snagov area of Bucharest and finally melted about a month and a half later. While in the city, it barely snowed  a day or two and melted the next day. On one of our recent visits to the Snagov house, we all commented how it looked like a winter wonderland, it was chilly and beautiful fresh snow decorated the trees and roadways and the house. We were sitting at the table with Nadia and were enjoying our coffees and chatting about life and comparing notes about how winter is in Ukraine and in Romania. Masha and Ada loved watching the snow fall, and eating sweets with us at the table.  Our ministry partnership with UBC'22 at the Snagov house to care for the Ukrainians seeking refuge is continuing to run smoothly. Currently we have two families, a single mom with her kids and another mom with her mom and her kids.  Co-op with UBC'22, AlfaOmega, H2H Brief
